Hi, maybe this is a bit premature but it is something that must be done sooner or later because the support for Joomla 1.7 expires at the end of February, I’m trying to upgrade to stable version 2.5 from the Extension Manager > Update, but I encounter the following error while doing that:

    Why is that?

Well, looking a bit on my website (it is a test page but running in the production domain) apparently the version was updated:

Is it reliable? is it stable?

Thanks Pavit for the quick response, before doing so, appeared the following:

    Now it seems fixed:

But apologize if I ask again, is it reliable? is it stable or normal?

    Hi elessar 2006

This is a new release of joomla ( 1 day old )

All Joomlart templates are not tested on this new release so at this time nobody can be sure of what can happen

The first general impression is that it works fine

anyway you must consider too that is not recommended to make this updates on sites in production , but only on test site for now

Well, I was testing the page and apparently has no errors, I found a bug that messes up the icons on the control panel but this is due to the upgrade from 1.7 to 2.5, it has nothing to do with the template or the Quickstart version.

Thanks Pavit, you’re right, while I was testing the updated version from 1.7 to 2.5 found several bugs which are not present in a clean install of 2.5, for the moment, the Quickstart 1.7 of Ja Rave has no problems with the update, but even the native update to 2.5 has some bugs to fix, I tried a clean upgrade from 1.7 to 2.5 (no Ja Rave) and has the same bugs mentioned, it is still too early to upgrade to 2.5, presents some issues, for now I stick to the 1.7 Quickstart version, thanks.
