I apologise for not answering faster, I have had a busy few days. In your case the suggestion to roll back was a valid one and it worked though you had to do it manually.
I still think you need to review some of your installed components/ plugins and mods as they will cause you problems and some are causing errors. You appear to also be using some older versions of some of those components which may leave you at risk to hackers so please take your time to review and remove/update them all.
As far as support speed goes it is made clear when you sign up that your best line for support is via the ticket system as the forums are mainly manned by volunteers and other users. Going via the ticket system would have been checked by a developer very quickly. Maybe I should have made that more clear earlier on in the thread. The link to “Ticket Support” is now on the main menu bar at the top of this page for your future reference.
Good luck with your site, I quite enjoyed looking around.
Hi Phil,
I looked at the ticket system and looks like a ticket dated 5/5 was created. I didn’t create it…did it get autogenerated since I posted a problem post in the forum?
Also, do you recommend upgrading to 1.4.1 or will 1.4.0 be fine? I mean, are there any specific bug fixes in 1.4.1 that will benefit my site?
I have reviewed your suggestion about out of date and incompatible components. I did remove a bunch of them.
If 1.4.0 works for you then take a look at the change log.
There are no security fixes, just minor bug fixes. If none of these apply to your setup then stich with what you have. If not backup then try installing 1.4.1. Hopefully everything will be good for you.
