I was thikning of installing it fresh, installing all components and coping the specific tables from the old database. Will this work?

    Thank you

    Dear fmedia!

You should intall teline iv template and keep the teline iii also as working. Please download all package from here:

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=381

Install template and make the template / module configs via:

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-teline-iv-template-installation-and-configuration/

    and:

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-teline-iv-userguide/

Make sure you use the latest version and update the config of the modules / plugins as per the userguide screenshots.

Best would be to install the Teline IV quiickstart in your localhost and use it as reference.

    A few more steps:

Install akeeba backup on your current site http://example.com if you don’t already use it.

    Install the backup on http://dev.exmaple.com

Refer to the URLs in the previous post.

Once http://dev.example.com is tweaked out, back it up.

You could put the quickstart Teline IV in http://dev01.exmaple.com

Always install Joomla! patches or new modules on the dev site before the production site. I made that mistake and I count that as two incidents, the first time and the last time.

If you have a heavy traffic site, you might be forced into double entry of articles on both side until you make the transition from dev back to production.

Your mileage may vary. Not all servers are configured quite the same way.

Lastly, print the documents and keep them in a safe place.
