Hello, I have this template installed on a client site and now they want to move from 1.5.22 to 2.56. Are there any tutorials that can show how this can be done? I’ve tried a few different upgrade extensions like jupgrade and SPupgrade, but nothing seems to work. So I am wondering if there is a specific method for doing this with JoomlArt templates?

Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hello idhla,

Please download JA Teline IV and its related extensions for Joomla 2.5 here http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=20381 , then install as a general Joomla extension.

SPupgrade is a 3rd party extension, it’s JoomlArt product. So maybe you can’t upgrade JA product with it.

Thanks for the response, but is it a matter of installing the J2.5 template on the old 1.5 site? or is there a more detailed way. I understand that the upgrade extensions aren’t JA, but I am trying to upgrade my site without essentially re-building it from scratch.

For JA extensions, you can use JA Extension Manager component to upgrade them.

I’m more concerned about upgrading the template. Is there a tutorial or something that will help me out with upgrading the template itself specific to JoomlArt JA Teline IV? I have the template installed on a 1.5.23 site and I need to upgrade to 2.56, this is where I’m having trouble, not with the extensions (yet).

Thanks again for your response. Actually, SP Upgrade works without having to first upgrade from 1.5 to 1.7. I was able to get my whole site upgraded, I just had to figure out getting things setup on the correct pages. I really would suggest JA looking into this and recommending it to people upgrading their site. All the others didn’t work at all and the steps you outlined in the links would have taken 2-3 times as long.
