October 5, 2010 at 3:24 pm #154967Maybe I’m just missing it but is there documentation on the best way to upgrade from the 2009 version of T3 to 2010?
I’m working on a complete custom design so I don’t want to lose those changes in the layout files (blocks folder) and the css files.
What’s the best way to upgrade or where can I find some documentation? I apologize if I’m completely overlooking where it’s at.
Thanks in advance!

October 5, 2010 at 4:40 pm #357815There is no documnetation for that, but JA Team have reproduced the JA Purity II Template as an User Theme (both into the wiki section and video tutorial). The idea is that you can recreate whatever template out there, T3 Framework based or not.
HINT: both versions use almost the same style classes (the read more link changed I am sure of that).
You just have to make sure you are using same layout configuration (div structure), and then step by step reapply same customizations. In most cases you just have to change class rules, in other cases some of the styling is kept inside the plugin as a skeleton for basic CSS (dimensions, padding, margins, etc).
So again as long as you configure correctly the layout (with same blocks, module positions, etc) then it’s child’s play.
It seems to be a lot of work, but it is the best way. JA Extensions Manager cannot do that yet 🙂Need help on this? Well then, post your questions here and let’s start documenting right here 🙂

October 5, 2010 at 5:15 pm #357821I’m just going to start from scratch with the Blank T3 Template, it’s a pretty good fit for this website that I’m turning into a Joomla site (Currently just an HTML site).
I need to find out how you can turn the content off for just the home page – the setting in T3 is for it to be turned off for everything. I’ll do some research.

October 5, 2010 at 6:02 pm #357828It depends on what content component you link for Home menu item, and each content component have it’s own display settings.

October 5, 2010 at 6:07 pm #357830I just created 2 profiles – the all pages got the profile that shows content and then I linked the 2nd profile to the home menu item and turned content off.
