Quick question, I have hunted around. When you upgrade the template from 1.7 to 2.5 do you lose all your css customizations? If so is there a way to not loss them?

    Cheers

Though it shouldn’t happen, there is always a possibility that you will lose some custom modifications through the updating process. For this very reason, ALWAYS make a complete back-up of your entire site – including your database(s) – so that you can always either access the previous modifications and/or content you created … or, if necessary, revert back to your saved/backed-up site configurations.

I think I speak for most of my Support Team Colleagues in saying that the preferred back-up solution for Joomla based sites is AKEEBA BACKUP.

OK I am running the latest version of Joomla 2.. However the template is the version for 1.7. I want to upgrade to the latest template version. So that is the question. I have loads of custom code in the template.css and so I guess it will all be changed when updating right?
