Hello, I am an absolute beginner who is trying to install the Teline on a remote server using FTP. I have downloaded and unzipped the following folders with their contents:

– JA Teline Quick Start <ja_teline_quickstart.zip>
– JA Teline Template <ja_teline.zip>
– JA Teline Source Files <ja_teline_source.zip>
– JA Teline Login Module <mod_ja_login.zip>
– JA Teline News Module <mod_ja_news_for_teline.zip>
– JA Teline User Guide <ja_teline_user_guide.zip>

After extracting, each of these zip files contains folders (except for the login module) and files.

I understand that uploading the quickstart package would allow me to install the site with a sample database. Then, how and where do I upload the remaining four packages (Template, Source Files, Login Module, and News Module)? I was looking for some direction in the User’s Guide but did not find the answers.

Please help. I am sure I will have more questions later. I just need to go through it with assistance the first time.

Firstly, Hello and welcome to JoomlArt community 😀

Here are step by step guide for absolute begginer to using Joomlart template.

1. Download Joomla http://www.joomla.org
2. Install Joomla
3. In Joomla administrator area go to Installer->Site templates
4. Choose your template zip file in your computer then click upload and install
5. Choose Site->Template manager-Site templates
6. Choose Your uploaded template and set it to default template
7. Go to Installers->Modules
8. Choose your modules forum your local computer, upload and install it
9. Go to Modules->Site modules, find your installed modules and config it as userguide

Source Files are the files which you need to modify templates to have your own look.
If you have any question in each step, please alert me.

Thank you Oceandragon! It worked. I uploaded and installed the Joomla v1.0.12, the JA Teline template and the modules. Have not configured them yet, but this I will do later.

My next question is: How and where do I upload and install the Source Files? (This is where the logo is, and I would like to customise my logo first.) Or, is there a different way to upload and install my logo image through the Control Panel?

Also, when I work in the Control Panel, it is asking me to login very often. It is annoying, especially, when I enter new content (that takes longer time), then try to Save it, the Login screen appears, I login and then, I am taken back to Control Panel, and have to re-enter the whole content over and over again. Is there a way to disable this popping up login screen once I am logged in for the time of the entire session, until I physically log out?

Appreciate you help. I know my questions are kindergarten level for you, but I actually am in Joomla Kindergarten (Junior).
