The demo is created with fresh Jooma installation + template installation + modification of Joomla texts and module positions via AdminCP.
Because we can not provide all database of the demo site (which is even more complicated to dump into your site database), but steps by steps content editting, you will soon find how to bring up the layout like our demo

I’m not sure I understand your problem. If you are having problems uploading the template to your site using the template installer, you can use an ftp client to copy the files to the template directory in Joomla. Just make a folder under templates with the template name (same name as the zip file without the dot zip) then unzip the template and upload the files to the folder on the server.

    Hi Nick
I take it you are looking to have your site look exactly the same as the JA Polaris demo, and you wish to remove the texts etc and replace with your own text ? Is that correct?

Assuming this is right, as Hung says in his reply, to achieve that ja default look is not as easy as it seems, you would need to get the database and content from JA and dump that to your own db etc

The best way is to read the guide that come with Ja Polaris, look at the module layout in the demo of Ja Polaris etc and recreate that layout ( modules etc) in your own site piece by piece using the administrator area to create and assign modules and position those modules where you want them to be

As Hung indicated this is best tried after a fresh clean install of Joomla and with the basic Ja Polaris template enabled. If you ask Hung I’m sure he can give you the names and positions of the Polaris modules he used in the Demo from his records, that way it’s a small start and will assist you to manipulate what you need.

I hope this makes sense and has helped you today

    Hi Hung

Thanks for the reply. I am going to spend sometime today seeing if i can create some of the modules to get my template to look like the polaris template. Right now the polasis template just looks like the standard joomla template with some color. hopefully there is not to much pain involved in having it look like the default polarsis template

Suggestion: READ carefully the “read me” manual for the template. There are tons of useful stuff there on how to tweak and get your site to look exactly how you want. ( help files ) Good luck and do come back if you have questions not answered there. 🙂
