August 18, 2011 at 6:04 pm #167557Everything was going well, I have not touched anything in the settings, and now I find myself with the problem you describe.
If you open an article (any article) the page is displayed without problems (see image)
If I try to reload the page (refresh), I get this horrible thing (see images)
1) The image of the paper is no longer visible
2) all the images disappear, even in those modules
I realized something: When you see the page correctly, even the URL of the image is correct.
But when I refresh the page, the url of the image (I think of all the images) changes.
The image of the item for which I showed the images has the following url: http://www.grnet.it/images/stories/Aimmagini/Salvatore-Parolisi-e-Melania-Rea.jpg (right url)
but after the refresh has this instead: http://www.grnet.it/news/notizie/giustizia/images/stories/Aimmagini/Salvatore-Parolisi-e-Melania-Rea.jpg (wrong url)
After many tests, I realized that disabling the cache of the template, the problem disappears.
But I want to know why this happens and, most importantly, how to fix it! I WANT to use the template cache- TomC Moderator

August 18, 2011 at 6:08 pm #406918Interesting issue, indeed.
Out of curiosity, have you tested this on a different computer (perhaps at a different location/different ISP connection) to see if the problem replicates? I’d be curious to see this – wondering if, perhaps, it might be an issue with your particular browser in how it is interpreting the code at any given time.
Just a “shot in the dark” thought. π

August 18, 2011 at 7:05 pm #406930It was the first test I did.
I phoned a friend of mine who lives in another region and he confirmed that he saw the problem too.
I tested the problem with different browsers (Firefox, Safari, IE8, Opera, Chrome) with my OS (Win XP Pro).
My friend has a Mac but the problem is the same for him.
I forgot: I also phoned the engineer of my dedicated server to see if he had made ββsome changes. No changes.

August 18, 2011 at 7:11 pm #406932Wow . . . . okay, in that case, I have taken the liberty of submitting a Support Ticket request for you – so that our JA Development Team can take a look and see if they can figure out the issue. They may or may not request some additional information from you (i.e. temporary access to your administration backend and/or temporary server access to check out certain files). In any case, you will receive a response with additional information.
Hold tight . . . Help is on the way.

August 18, 2011 at 7:39 pm #406938However, the problem was already described by another users in another thread, in June (No public answer from the experts): http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/article-image-not-visible/

That’s why I need a “personal” solution, as all who have purchased Teline IV.
I tried to reproduce the same problem with Teline II (using the url suffix ?tp=1&template=ja_teline_ii), but with that template works fine.

August 29, 2011 at 9:56 pm #409500Hi,
Please try to change the t3-assets dir to /cache/t3-assets and check if that solves your issues.
Regards
Manos

Hi Manos,
I should move the folder t3-assets (httpdocs/t3-assets) in a new position (httpdocs/cache/t3-assets)?
I understand correctly?

August 30, 2011 at 5:45 am #409560Yes, if you delete the setting on template settings then t3-assets should be created on /httpdocs/cache/t3-assets

Sorry Manos, but exactly when you write “delete setting on the template settings”, what do you mean? What should I do?
Sorry but I will not make mistakes. :-[

Please see the screen shot i include</blockquote>
Ok, Manos, I did what you told me. This is the situation:
1) I deleted “t3-assets” from the field “Optimize folder.”
2) Successfully saved data (image)
3) Cache Mode on “Enable”
4) Successfully saved on
5) Test on one page (upload and refresh), the problem remains.
6) Checked the settings again Extensions> Template Manager> Ja Telive IV> Glogal tab> and here again I found the word “t3-assets” in the “Optimize folder” field!
7) I checked the FTP httpdocs/cache folders and actually there are t3 and t3-assets folders (the folder t3-assets remained also in /httpdocs).
Something did not work. What do you think?
