There may the CSS issue , may be the extension use the same class name that overrides the template style code .
Let me know if there is anything need to changes from the template . I will check it further .

Hi
Here u can see the extension is adding new style code for the font awesome : http://prntscr.com/cmswho
You have to remove the code or remove the !important from it so the could will not work .

Also if there is option to disable the Bootstrap from event component kindly disable it , it will help to load only template bootstrap code .
