When viewing my site with Firefox, Chrome, Opera and IE 7 or 8, there is no problem in the frontpage, all is well.

When viewing any article with Firefox, Chrome and Opera there is no problem.

But when viewing any article with IE 8, all modules disappear, except for the main body…
Can someone help me solve this please?

    some info :

    I’m using Joomla 1.5.8
    CB 1.2
I did put the metatag in the head of my template
    (<meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=7″ />)
I tried disabling all javascript and mootools on the site but to no avail…

hmm, the strangest thingie…. When you publish a module, using a suffix that does not exist, in chrome and firefox the module just shows, together with all the other modules, except there is no layout for that module…

In IE the system finds it necessary to stop loading all modules, as soon as one is found that uses a wrong suffix…. been searching for several hours, just to find out, that IE is once again not a STANDARD browser….
