    Hello,

Can you please check my original membership. I started on 2 August 2007 until August 2008. My account was upgraded to a Developer account for one year. That means my membership should still be going for up to 2 August 2009. I have not been here for serveral months and when I logded in, I am placed as unregistered.

I have more than enough points for several years of membership, if needed. Please rectify membership status, immediately.

    Thanks.

I wonder why when I first logged, it said. “Unlicensed”????

Anyway, may someone from the staff please rectify the cycle date for the renewal of my membership, since it is about time to renew. It should be:

    2 August 2007 – 1 August 2008

    2 August 2008 – 1 August 2009

    then (almost ready for nenewal:

    2 August 2009 – 1 August 2010

I need to renew when the cycle has been clarified. I have not decided yet whether to use just the regular license or Developer. So far, to date
I have only used two templates for aall my sites. Initially

    Teline (original) when I started
    Teline II

most of my downloads are to ensure I have the latest version of Teline II

I wish Joomlart comes up with more advanced Teline (news-magazine). The Teline II was good, but it is far from a true “news magazine”.

The extensions should help solve some of the features lacking, and the layout; but the specially-created Extensions did not work for me, because there was inadequate support for them.

I have registered most of the sites, I will need personally. There is not sense extending the Developer License if there is very inadequate support for those items intended for Developers — e.g., the Extensions.

Other than that, I am content just being able to use mainly one Template — the Teline II, and I hope Joomlart at least keep on improving it.

A suggestion to newcomers: The Teline II can be used for any purpose, very versatile, you will get your money’s worth for waht you the pay for a regular subscription — just from the Teline II alone. You just have to learn how to do use it.

You may then be able to modify it, as you please. I have used it for my personal sites and my most complex sites.

    Thanks MiCCAS,

When I came back, it was listing me as “unlicensed”, but when I was able to post several times, and have posted it my designation changed.

All that is needed now is to straighten out my membership cycle, as I posted above.

When you upgrade from Standard to Developer, your new developer membership starts immediately from the day you purchased it (and not added on to the end of your current standard license).
Therefore, if you DID renew early, then your renewal date would’ve also moved up as your standard license would’ve expired anyway – hence why you might’ve been registered as unregistered!

    Hi hanifahmed,

Are you voicing an opinion, or is this a verdict?:)

    Let’s test your verdict.

Let’s say, I started on 2 August 2007, as stated above.

    2 August 2007 – 1 August 2008

If I upgraded on 2 February 2008 to a Developer, and starts on that day, it will be 2 February 2008 to 1 February 2009.

Note that if I paid the amount for

    one year for regular membership
    one year for Developer

that is a total forTWO (2) years

I don’t expect to get 1.5 years of Developer membership.

However, if Joomlart thinks as you do, I would lose SIX (6) months of regular membership?

I started with a regular membership.

Later on i used credits to get a developer membership wich was added after the regular would have ended. So i remained as regular member till that one expired and then i was developer.

As it should be, bennitos. No one loses.

    Thanks.

    That’s what happened to me.

Joined in Aug 08, upgraded in Dec 08 – so my subscription ends in Dec 09!

I’m just stating what my invoices and membership dates say!

But for credit redemption, you keep your paid subscription, it gets added on to the end of your paid for subscription.

    Good clarification hanifahmed,

The bottom line is that everyone must get the full duration — irrespective of whether you paid or used credits.

I 100% agree – but I didn’t really care about the standard membership (simply cos my company paid for it!). But after I left them, I upgraded to Developer with my own money – so I would hate to lose that.

If I could – I would really like to get the 8 months back that I lost to the upgrade! But I needed the developer membership for extra domains and thought it would be better in the long run.

That depends, if its really an upgrade and your original subcription would get reduced of the developer price then it would be realistic to keep the original end date.

But if you have to pay the full price of the dev licence then it should be added after your other one ends.

Same with credit redemtion you dont upgrade when you redeem, but you “buy” an extra membership after the one that expires.

They did not do that with me bennitos. They did not even respond to me regarding this issue that I raised.
