Please, I want to create an article, but the article is giving me default URLs.

Defaut: http://www.abcd.org/index.php?=?+cat&id=444

How can I create an article and have a URL: http://www.abcd.org/mypagename

How can I achieve this?

You can try with a SEF URL extension in Joomla Extension Directory and custom the URL as you wish.
