instead of

Change the alias and check .
Rebuild the menus and clean cache after save .

PS : Author page work with Menu menu > Author page is only One menu and rest of author will open under same menu . http://prntscr.com/axq1zr

Hi It Url with without ID work only for the user page Menu that you selected in the template options . It support only one user page and all other comes under it with the ID . Sorry ,but You can not remove it for all other authors .
I checked the items from Footer all are working fine without ID .
