    Hi,
Recently I noticed that when I open any article from the front page it automatically add a suffixt to the URL. For example http://www.ipathram.com/index.php/news/ireland-news/ireland-news/665-emirates#.TwtUMW_87C0 like this. The problem is that because of this I cannot share any article in facebook. Can anybody suggest how can I solve this problem?

So you have SEF (search engine friendly) URL enabled within your Global Configuration?

Yes. I have enables SEF URL. I turned it off and again see the url like this http://www.ipathram.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=666:wmc&catid=91:irelandl246136809&Itemid=563#.Twtia2_87C0.
    What would be the problem?

What about renaming htaccess.txt to .htaccess within your template parent directory?

    Thanks.
There are both htaccess.txt and .htaccess files in root directory.

    You ONLY need .htaccess

    Thanks TomC.
Unfortunately deleting htaccess.txt file didn’t solve my problem.

Both sef and url rewrite need to both be on and htaccess.txt renamed to .htaccess
