What must be done to use images, for example, banners ads for church events on the homepage instead of articles/text? Is this possible?

What I would do is change your homepage to Articles » Category / Blog in menu layout and choose your category where ads are kept. Make articles in that category with only images no text. It’s not compulsory to have the frontpage component on the homepage. Does it make sense?

You know that you can include a module in an article like banner module? 😉
