June 15, 2008 at 12:20 pm #129703Maybe there is somesort of a tread like this already but i havent found it so far.
There are plenty programs around wich makes you life so much more easy 😛Lets share it here!
To kick off:
Firebug plugin for Firefox“Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page…
Firebug 1.2 requires Firefox 3. Firefox 2 users should install the older 1.05 version of Firebug.”
I use this plugin alot to alter my css files, in the past i was searching for ages wich line to edit but with firebug you can just browse to you site and with the inspect button it will show wich line it is 🙂

For color picking, here is extension for FF:
ColorZilla 1.0
With ColorZilla you can get a color reading from any point in your browser, quickly adjust this color and paste it into another program. You can Zoom the page you are viewing and measure distances between any two points on the page. The built-in palette browser allows choosing colors from pre-defined color sets and saving the most used colors in custom palettes. DOM spying features allow getting various information about DOM elements quickly and easily. And there’s more…Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies.

June 15, 2008 at 11:48 pm #253788faststone does about the same as colorzilla, both or good, faststone is a screencapture tool first and offers several different ways to do it, and has the zoom tooland color picker.
lets not put each other down, we all have our favorites
lets not forget filezilla for ftp
