Help!
When using User 5 and Front Page News Modules together, the User 5 moves below the content on the page. What could be causing this?
I have tried to go through and edit any necessary div tags, as that seemed to work for some people, but I really don’t think that is what’s causing this. Any help would be wonderful! Thanks!

April 19, 2009 at 4:10 pm #301870You’ve got your widths out of sorts. It’s very VERY common in Teline II.
Read all about it.

April 19, 2009 at 4:23 pm #301871Do I need to edit the CSS for Frontpage news modules then? When it is not enabled, everything is fine.
Thank you so much for your response, I have been pulling my hair out on this one!
April 19, 2009 at 4:31 pm #301873when frontpage news modules is not enabled it is fine. sure I will put the site live for a few minutes, let me know when you are done… if you browse you will see that the back pages have no problems with user 5.
user 5 on the home page moves even if I have a simple menu on it.. so I have narrowed it down to front page news..
April 19, 2009 at 5:43 pm #301882anyluck? Can I take it back down?
April 19, 2009 at 5:49 pm #301884Take a look again if you have time… it even moves it when all there is plain text… no media.. bc I had tried that before with the WSIWG.
But if I disable front page news module, it will work. So something within the two are not communicating correctly.
April 19, 2009 at 7:35 pm #301894Hey John – sorry I couldn’t ever see what you were typing behind your computer screen.
Thank you SO SO much for all your help! I’d fed-ex ya a 6pack for all of that work 🙂
Just so everyone knows for future reference, it WAS a formatting error within an article that was throwing the modules off – John as able to narrow it down through the tons of articles on the site.

April 19, 2009 at 7:39 pm #301896The cause is bad code in one of the stories that is appearing in the JA_News module.
The easiest way to test this is to:First: Disable all the Sections/Categories you have showing inthe JA_News module…and then enable them back one by one. When you find the one that is causing the problem….then disable all the Categories/Articles that below to that Section/Category…and start bringing them back one by one. Eventually you’ll find the offending article.
In your case the article was the lead story under Legislation Section. It had a Div Class that was not called correctly. Deleted the “Class” and it all works fine now.
It’s amazing how even the smallest error can cause the JA_News module to hiccup.
Have fun!
