I’m having trouble getting the user tools working correctly. – (I think this might be ie7 specific)

on my site http://www.mysmallbizu.com the users have the option to select width and color, color is set to default in index.php and width is set to auto.

template displays in narrow and wen wide or full is selected it reverts back to the narrow on the next screen refresh. As well color changes don’t work.

    Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have the cookies set to “for this session only” this feature works on setting a cookie on the computer if you set for 1 session only it will delete the cookie when that session ends etc

Set IE to accept all cookies for a set period of time etc probably in the security section sorry I don’t use IE7 much as I have Firefox so I am unfamiliar with what menu has what
Hope this solves the problem for you NIght

Also, if what Shannon suggests does not work and if you are using a cache component, or the Joomla cache on the site, the cached page may be showing when you refresh. Try clearing the site cache.

Thanks I actually had to remove the tools I’m using a parked domain ( and the tommy’s hack – which allows you set your joomla site conifg to run on multiple domain names)

When viewing the site using the parked domain URL ie6 and firefox users only saw missing graphics where the tools were supposed to be.
