May 17, 2011 at 9:42 pm #164125The user login module is not working on the JA_Droid template or the JA_Anion template. What am I doing wrong???
I have tried placing the login module in different positions on the front-end of the template and have had no luck getting it to work. I also tried to add users through the administrator panel and that did not work either.
Here’s what’s happening on the front end:
The user registers and is prompted to check their email to activate their account. When the user clicks the link provided, they are redirected to the website displaying a message telling them that their account is active and to login with their username and password. When the user attempts to login, they are prompted with the following message: Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.
Here’s what’s happening on the back end:
I login to the administrator panel and click Site > User Manager > New. I fill in the user details and click save. The user should appear in the User Manager but does not appear at all. I check the email for the new user and find an email with the username and system generated password. I attempt to login on the front-end with the username and system generated password and am prompted with the following message: E_NOLOGIN_ACCESS. If I attempt to login with the username and password used when creating the account, I’m prompted with the following message: Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.
In both cases, the user name does not appear in the User Manager after registration. However, the user accounts are populating in MySQL.. I noticed that the JA_Login module was not installed. I installed the module and enabled it and still experienced the same situation after making the necessary changes to the login module. Please help resolve this issue. The website in question is http://renocomputerguy.com/

I ended up reinstalling Joomla 1.5.23, then I installed the template using the installation manager. For some reason , I could not get the issue resolved using the quickstart package.
