From the Admin Site Menu The User Manager Menu Breaks with the following error.Below

DB function failed with error number 1054
Unknown column ‘aro.aro_id’ in ‘on clause’ SQL=SELECT a.*, g.name AS groupname FROM jos_users AS a INNER JOIN jos_core_acl_aro AS aro ON aro.value = a.id INNER JOIN jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map AS gm ON gm.aro_id = aro.aro_id INNER JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS g ON g.group_id = gm.group_id GROUP BY a.id LIMIT 0, 20

I am unable to administer the users. Users can register but I have no way to Manage the users on the site. This was a fress express install

it’s rather strange error.
try to do the following

1. check if you have administrator/components/com_users/admin.users.php file, if yes, rename it to admin.users.php.bak and check the user manager

2. find in the template folder /html/com_user/ folder; rename it to /com_user2/

other would could be done – to check the registration tables
# jos_core_acl_aro
# jos_core_acl_aro_groups
# jos_core_acl_aro_map
# jos_core_acl_aro_sections
# jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map
# jos_users
they to correspond to original Joomla structure.

Renaming admin.users.php fixed the issue. Thanks. I am glad I did not have to deal with checking Database Tables. On another Matter I need more clarification on your licenses. I need one that allows you guys to support automatically. I am too busy trying to make money to be supporting the Backend…. Help

Also, this problem, you had, is caused by presence of Joomla 1.0.x files, if I’m not mistaken….
So, if this file is in the quickinstall package you used, please let the JA know. Otherwise it could be brought from somewhere else..
