i am admittedly a newb to Joomla, just purchased the 1year membership to joomlart and am implementing the JA-Senecio template.

Also I’ve been googling & searching on stuff like “module category description”, not sure if that’s wrong, but finally my question:

I’d like to have direct links to my content categories in user module 1/2/3/etc. Furthermore, i’d *love* for that to be context-sensitive to the section it’s in.

I can’t find a module that allows for direct links to content categories. I’m not a programmer type, but if it’s cheap enough I could contemplate getting someone to do it. (very cheap, i’m footing it myself).

FWIW, the site is rockridgeresidents.org, i’ve only got the senecio template on the “The Green” section, although I am about to play around with it on the rest of the site now.

TIA for any help or books or sites to read through/etc.

    Hi
to put a content category link into the module, you first have to find the name of the link. Go to edit the menu item that points to that category (or if you dont have one you can create an additional hidden menu with those links). Then copy the URL – something like
    index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=4&id=13&Itemid=27
That’s the link you can put in your module.
I hope I’ve understood you correctly on that… But not sure what you mean by context-sensitive to section…
    Regards
