January 7, 2009 at 2:41 pm #136830users register, emails are sent to me as admin confirming their registration, BUT they do not show in the User Manager table. Occasionally a registration shows.
Does this mean that the registration failed but an email was sent to me anyway? Too many such failures to believe so.
This is clearly an urgent issue.

This sounds strange. Have you had any messages from users that tried to register but failed? Or even users that registered but never got a confirmation e-mail?
Have you contacted any user that you had registration from but never appeared in user list?
Are you using standard J 1.5 registration form?

January 7, 2009 at 3:15 pm #285183Thanks for the fast response. I contacted the service provider, and it seemed to have been a problem on the server. They just fixed it, and now I see all the missing registrations.
Thanks again for responding. Sometime we newbies feel very alone.

Too true. When I started out I didn’t even know if my problems were caused by Joomla, Template or even my Service Provider!

January 7, 2009 at 3:34 pm #285191One more related issue — often times, when I log in to the front end as a regular registered guest, the login does not “take”. I need to login a few times until the name shows as logged in on my home page (it shows then the user Menu). Any ideas?

I’m using 1.5.8 with JA Telline II template but no problems with registration, first time every time.

I checked your site but, and maybe it’s me, couldn’t see anywhere on home page to ‘Register’ or ‘Log In’?

Good here. This is mainly a problem in the big cities which rely on the ex-communist ‘state heating’. I live in the mountains and rely on my own heating … chopping and burning logs!!

Received e-mail ask me to confirm registration, which I did, again OK.
I’ve tried to login 6 times now, but unable, no user menu!
I think we should open a support ticket direct to JA Developers for this one.
