    Hi John,
Sorry for keeping you waiting. I have just updated the new user guide with instruction on how to create header images using user9 modules.

Full documentation for JA Polaris template is packaged in our User guides

    Keep up the great work!

    Thanks again.

I am attempting to use the 9 images as a Random Image module in the User9 position but the images won’t stay in that position – they drop down below the Main Menu. What is the module class suffix to fix this? i don’t see it in the template_css.css.

Your user guide doesn’t explain in depth about how to sort the User9 images properly.

    Please help.

    Hi scottev,

As in our userguide, to display header images, you should create some text modules with module titles are image file names (ex. header_image2.jpg). In “Menu Item links“, select pages you want to display the image in. Those images are located in folder: templates/ja_polaris/images/header. If you want to show your own images, please upload to that folder and create modules whose titles are image file names.

You don’t need to public a random images module in the user 9 position.

    khanh,

I really like this template, but now I want to use the header images and I followed the directions in the User Manual and got confused and couldn’t get the header images to show.

I have followed the directions in the Userguide and I am not clear on how to name the User9 Module to match the images?

I have added a module using the Administration Panel >> Module and when I create a new module by clicking on New, I name it: dougheader

This area of the manual needs to be more clear. In the User manual you call it User9 Module as shown in the screen shot and that does not match the name’s of the header images exactly.

    NOTE! Clarification is needed.

Also, after I add the User9 Module, I can’t see what pages to publish it to, as I get this stuff on the right side of the screen and I can’t change anything:

    dPages / Items
    Menu Item Link(s):
    N/A

If you could be more clear on everything such as an example of an exact Module name, and the matching name of the first user9 module and then matching image names from 1 to 9, then more people could use the header images on their pages.

Can you be more clear as in:

Step 1. Create a module from the Administration Panel >> Module and name the new module :

Name the 1st module and set it to user9: Name: dougheader

    Title: dougheader
    Show title: N/A
    Position: user9

Step 2: Now add a new module by clicking New, and name the module:

dougheader_01.jpg and set it to Position user9

Step 3: Now add a new module by clicking New, and name the module:

dougheader_02.jpg and set it to Position user9

Step 4: Now add a new module by clicking New, and name the module:

dougheader_03.jpg and set it to Position user9

In Steps 5 thru 10, you will add new modules and then name each module as follows:

Step 5: dougheader_04.jpg and set it to Position user9
Step 6: dougheader_05.jpg and set it to Position user9
Step 7: dougheader_06.jpg and set it to Position user9
Step 8: dougheader_07.jpg and set it to Position user9
Step 9: dougheader_08.jpg and set it to Position user9
Step 10: dougheader_09.jpg and set it to Position user9

Step 11: Now, make sure to publish each of these modules to the pages you want them to be shown on your site. <Maybe Explain how this is done here>

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanx,
    Doug

Doug, you forget the final step is to upload your 11 images to joomlaroot/templates/ja_polaris/images/header/ under the following names:

    dougheader.jpg
    dougheader_01.jpg
    dougheader_02.jpg
    dougheader_03.jpg
    ........
    dougheader_010.jpg

Do not forget to pay attention to the images size so that they look good in both 800 and 1024 screen s. we have 9 sample images in the joomlaroot/templates/ja_polaris/images/header/

    Hung and Khanh,

Here are two screen shots of what I am talking about with the Page/Items list not showing up. Also, I do not get the Show Title: as it is N/A also.

Any reason as to why? Suggestions?

    Hung and Khanh,

For some reason when I try to upload the 2 screenshots showing the Page/Items with N/A and no page(s) list showing I get an upload error, show I can’t attach them right now.

Any suggestions as to what the issue could be with this Page/Items not showing up would be appreciated.

    Hung and Khanh,

I sorted out the problem. I was confusing the Administrator>Modules Site Modules with the Administrator Modules menu, and that was the problem.

Now that I am in the right menu, I can now see the header images. I am pleased, and now I can get the new banners ready this weekend for my site.

    Thanks for all your assistance.

    Hi,

If I create a module with the same name as each image and then select to show each of these modules on All menu items will that make the images change on each page.

Is there a way to set the timing for an image to change e.g after 10 seconds.

    Thnaks you.

    Hi.

I Think, in Jommla Version 1.5 there is no possibility to build a new module. :((

    Do you know another way?

    Thank you!
