    Hi,

    the {users_email} of {users_email_post} is not showing in the email.
    i like to see the email adress how did ad the comment

    this is the template that will send to the admin:

    Dear {USERS_USERNAME},

    Question:

    URL:
    {ITEM_LINK}
    Details:
    {ITEM_DETAILS}

    Name: {ITEM_CREATE_BY}
    Emailadress: {USERS_EMAIL_POST} {USERS_EMAIL}

    Hi ocean12!
    Email is a core function of Joomla.
    You will find good information regarding the email function in the Joomla.org forums here.

    It is emailing but in the email it is not showing the mailadres from the customer
    its showing the code “Emailadress: {USERS_EMAIL_POST} {USERS_EMAIL}”

    Hi ocean12,

    Your site is an English one or you are using any other language as your default language ? Also do you have the ja comment language file translated to your language ?

    My site is the default Dutch language
    I did not translated the ja comment file, In the backend I can manage english

    Hi,
    I think the problem is caused by your Dutch language file. So could you please provide us your FTP information and backend access so we can take a look for you.

    Sorry but I can’t give the ftp information.
    Where do I have to look for.
    Do you thing that the problem will be solved when I copy the language file to the dutch folder?

    Yes you should try that and also rename the file according to your language file format or even better you can just copy paste the content from the English language file to the Dutch one from the admin panel on JA Comment component.

    The codes in bold are giving a result the other ones not.
    And the the link is als wrong, it has twice the http link

    I am going to suggest that if you are unwilling to allow FTP access in to the site, you be sure the files used in the site are not corrupt.
    I would be sure you have used OFFICIAL language packs from Joomla! Those can be found here, and I would download and reinstal the fresh files OVERWRITTING what you have now. These files are for 1.6 sites, so also be sure you have installed the correct Joomla version.
    I do not believe you have mentioned if this is a 1.5 or 1.6 or 1.7 site. Al;way include that info in your posts so we can best help you. If you have not solved this issue, please let us know the exact version number of the Joomla, the template, the templates name, make sure all extensions and plug ins used are also the MOST RECENT ones.
    I might also suggest, since this is a basic Joomla core function that you seek help in the Dutch area of Joomla.org as other users may be having the same issues as you. The Dutch community can be accessed here.

    I can’t give the ftp settings because of the security of files that are then available then, sorry.

    About the site, it’s a 1.5.22 site with template JA_Droid 1.2.2 and JA Comment 1.1.0
    The language is off course the office language from joomlaCommunity.nl
    The site is already running for more then 5 years.
    Sorry that I did not post these information, I will the next time 🙂

    But why is the language file has something to do with the template codes {USERS_EMAIL} in Ja Comment
    That email adres is coming from the comment form on the site.
    The following fields can be filled in: Name, Emailadres, Comment.
    The name and comment are transferred by email, but why is the emailadres {USERS_EMAIL} not showing

    So why is the language so importend. {USERS_EMAIL} is a form field, or do I miss something.?

    First thing you need to do is update the site to joomla 1.5.23 since security is a concern.
    I am not sure the language file has anything to do with it.
    The email is basic core function for Joomla.
    i would upgrade the Joomla version and see if thee are any changes after you have ALSO cleared the site cache as well as the browser cache.
    Regardless, this is still a core function and the Joomla community will have more help to provide on this and there may be a known issue.
