Hello,
I have a very strange problem.
I am developing my website on Ja Teline IV quickstart for Joomla 1.7, so I put it in offline mode, and disabled all the caching mechanisms.
The site is running with default joomla SEF and apache .htaccess url rewriting.
The problem is that, after logging in with my super user to the front end, I am periodically logged out.
So even as i am browsing between different articles and categories, I will suddenly be logged out and my session will be suspended.
The length of time or number of pages that passes before I am logged out appears to be random. I haven’t spotted any kind of pattern
yet. I have tried numerous solutions: I replaced the core joomla folders, disabled all of my plugins except the joomla authentication and core user plugins. I have even re-installed the site on a different folder with a different database, and it continues to happen. I have tested this problem in Firefox and Chrome, on Windows 7, Mac, and Linux. I have really tried everything and I’m not sure where to go from here.
Not sure if its important but I upgraded from Joomla 1.7.0 to 1.7.2, but I remember the problem happening on the original 1.7.0 site and as I said, i installed a clean quickstart and the problem happened anyways. I installed Ja blazes in a different folder and the issue isn’t happening there, so I am suspecting something within Teline IV or the T3 files in that quickstart.
Any suggestions are welcome.
ThanksBlaine FriendBlaine

Go into your Global settings and adjust the time out from the standard settings to a higher number. It will be called Session Lifetime and is under the System Tab.
Thanks!November 13, 2011 at 3:12 pm #424480Hello Blaine,
That was the first thing I tried. I’ve been working with joomla for several years, so I too thought it was the issue.
However, changing the session lifetime had no effect. Thanks for the help,

November 14, 2011 at 5:07 am #424528Hi tom123!
Interesting the session lifetime will not resolve it.
Is the site in Development mode maybe?
Any way, i tried to access the site admin panel and was given a 404 error page.
If you want to PM me with admin panel access, I would be happy to take a look in the site!
There are others who have reported this issue as well, so if all items are up to date, I would suggest you take a look at this thread and see if anything rings a bell for you.
Thanks! -
