    I asked someone if he could help me get a google map mashup to my joomla template, and because he wasn’t familiar with joomla, he asked me this question. (I’m not a programmer, just enthusiast trying to put a website together and learn as the same time), and I quote;

    “I have not used the templates you have. Mine is a very
    > straightforward html/javascript/php approach.
    >
    > The environment you are using if it allows you to
    > embed html/javascript then you can store the stores
    > information in a xml file or a mysql database and then
    > have javascript read it and then display it. That’s
    > what i do in most of the cases. I have my data stored
    > in a mysql database/xml file. “

    Can someone confirm this for me please!
    Thanks

    I’m not really sure what you’re on about, but if you need to add some javascript you can usually just add it into the template file, you can edit the html of a template from within joomla admin (extensions | template manager, select your template then click edit html.), just put the code where ever you need to put it. A joomla template is written no different to any other website..

    I know this is an old thread but I’ve since discovered Jumi, search for it on the joomla extensions site, you can use it to embed code into your site body, or modules
