Okay, I’m trying to understand the JA Side News module. In the module settings, the description says:

“JA Side News module allows to display a list of articles with meta keyword ”Featured” (this word is declared in the ”Keyword” parameter inside the Metadata Information of each article).

Otherwise, it displays articles from one or many categories…”

But I don’t see an option to tell it to only use articles with the meta keyword “featured”. In the Content Settings options, you can select specific categories and you can set it to Show, Hide, or Show Only featured articles. But that pertains to actual Featured Articles, not articles based on the meta keyword “featured”.

I don’t get it. Maybe it’s an old description. Can you still display articles based on the meta keyword “featured” as opposed to actual Featured Articles?

    Hi illphever,

That is an old description of JA Side News module that make the users misunderstand about the module feature. Actually, there is an option (Featured Articles) in the backend that allows you to select to display/hide featured articles. You can you that option, not meta keywork “featured”. Well, i will remind with our QA team to re-edit this description and make it more clearly. Thank you !
