    Hi,

I’m using JUGA on a Joomla 1.0.15 site that is using the JA_Dravity template — which has a horizontal main menu that somehow pulls the menu items from the default mainmenu, even though I’ve unpublished that menu’s module (mod_mainmenu). How do I get that menu system to acknowledge the JUGA mainmenu module which allows for the protection of JUGA menu items? I don’t want the menu in any other module position, e.g., left or right. Only in the undefined horizontal position across the top in this template. As you probably know, in the Menu Manager, it says that I cannot delete the mainmenu. I’ve already unpublished it, so how can I get the JUGA version of mainmenu to pull the menu items into the JA_dravity horizontal menu?

    Thanks,
    railer

    Did you find a solution?

    Hi Jagger,

    Thanks for your interest.
No, I did not find a way to make the JUGA menu work in this template instead of the default mod_mainmenu module.

I ended up creating a separate menu with the module mod_manimenu_juga (provided by the JUGA people) to publish the items that are restricted by the JUGA component. I also made it only viewable to JUGA members after logging in. I made a special post-login redirect landing page which contains instructions on how to access their restricted items in the JUGA menu

Not as slick as using the default mainmenu, but it works.

    Best,
    railer
