Hello,
I am new to this forum. I am testing out a few templates before I make a choice for my site and in working with JA Pariiti, I find i can not get slices of the images. I changed the banner part, but when I go to “Save For Web” in Photoshop, I get one image, and not slices. I have activated slices in View>Show>Slices
But I don’t get slices. How can I get slices so that I can upload the changed graphic file to test out the template?
Thanks!
September 10, 2007 at 11:56 pm #229220Ok this is strange. I selected the slice tool and began drawing a slice and the slices show up. But the problem is they are totally inaccurate and the images get sliced wrong.
Is there a fix for this? How can I match up slices?
Thanks!

September 11, 2007 at 5:15 am #229228Why not using the original header image and changing it (not the whole template psd) for creating a new header image?
If you want to alter the header image in the logo-bakground psd you just need to activate “view -> snap to guides”, then selecting the rectangular marquee tool and the selection should automatically snap to the slice borders if you select the header image part. Then choose copy merged (or strg + shift + C), open a new document that will automatically have the sice of the copied selection and paste it with strg + V.

I did try this. It works OK. But there is no slice guide for the top part unfortunately.
Also, I thought that the packages came with slices in the PSD for easy changing.
I can certainly do what you said, but it’s just much more time consuming and not as accurate. But I will do this if it is the only way to change and customize it.
Thanks for your wonderful help bluecafe, I apprecaite it!
