    hi,
I have recently configured my server and installed Joomla.
Now I want to use a template from joomlart (puresite), but just installing the template I do not see all the modules available on the demo.
I saw that there is a “quickstart” package for installing all the files of the demo but aparently it containst the joomla installation too.
How can I do to only install the site of the demo WITHOUT performing a joomla installation?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

If you want use the ja_puresite template without a quickstart installation, you can read this guide that shows you how all modules and template was configured in the demo site although it would be preferable to install the quickstart version.

    hi there everyone…..
I have just installed the Blank & Clean template of JoomlArt T3 Framework joomla 2.5 and on the front end I have no sample data (I think is called that way) ……only the T3 logo, Home, but no images, no articles, banners, etc…..you know info about joomla like templates use to have. I can see only the delimitations of the scheleton and I have only one side bar instead of 2 but the second one I assume is not vissible bc has no info on it. So I wanna ask is there any way to add those infos? I tryed to install quickstart but the install ends and nothing happens……I quess it fails. I am on a localhost and I could copy it there but I don’t know exactly wich file and where to place it……
    thx

    hi again.
One thing that I have noticed is that the content of quickstart file are the same with the ones in my root directory, without Installation folder wich I have deleted as requested at installation. Now, looking into installation folder I see that contains those Joomla data I want to appear in my site. So I guess I don’t need to reinstall quickstart, but then how do I do it? Those files are in the Installation folder that is supposed to be deleted………I am stuck here.
    Please help.
    thank you

    Hi andrea,

All files/folders inside Quickstart package are the same with ones you install with blank template. The different is the Sample Data which can be installed in installation process of quickstart package. After installing quickstart package you will have modules/plugins installed and ready for use. If you install quickstart package without installing sample data, your site will be the same as installing blank template.

    hi there Saguaros,
yes, I want to install Sample Data separately from Quickstart because that doesn’t work…..I have tried with Extension manager and nothing happens. So I want to install manually…..wich folders should I copy?
    thank you

    <blockquote>because that doesn’t work.</blockquote>
Do you mean that you install quickstart with sample data and it doen’t work? Please tell me which template you want to install and version of Joomla you use. Please try to install quickstart package again, it’s much easier:
    – Create a new database
    – Copy all folders/files inside quickstart package to your web folder.
    – Install sample data in installation process.
And tell me if you face any error when install sample data.

Initially I wanted Purity II but at installation I got a bunch of errors that I couldn’t get rid of , some SQL syntax error near Create Table Banner…. I had a entire page of errors but I managed the rest of them except this one. I changed Type with Engine in SQL file but didn’t work either. So that is why I tryed the blank version……
I think I try Purity again and I will need your help.
So I copy only Quickstart in my root directory? Because there are other files too…. sorry if I seem foolish but is the first time I do this. I read in some posts that purity is incompatible when installing in localhost….anyway I try again….
    I will let you know.
    thank you

hi, I installed Purity II with no problem. I can’t even believe it 🙂 yupi
I think my mistake with the blank version was that I haven’t installed sample data at installation……Now I did and everything is fine.
    You were right.
Thank you. Now I need to figure it out how modules work because I am in trouble doing modifications…pfu.
    Thank you anyway.
