please help!….(i could’nt find a link to post?)

i am using joomla 1.5 and JA TELINE 2 with the JA-log in module (highslide). I have intalled the quickstart guide and am only using the default modules.

on the following site http://www.projectnews.tv. When a user tries to create an account he/she doesn’t get the validation email. The following are settings I have in my Global Configurations in Joomla.

SITE:
User SettingsAllow User Registration No Yes
New User Registration Type :Registered
New User Account Activation :Yes
Front-end User Parameters :Show

SERVER:
mailer:sendmail
from: sunjeev@projectnews.tv
path /usr/sbin/sendmail
smtp authentication:yes
username:sunjeev+projectnews.tv
password:********* (this is correct)
host:localhost

Hi sunjeev !
I have checked your site and saw it still validate email when i enter in register highslide form . have you fixed your problem ?

Thanks…I got the problem solved, it was a silly oversight. I assumed that the SMTP host would be localhost on my site host. I was wrong..it should have been mail.projectnews.tv
