    I used VEMOD NEWS MAILER before installing JA TELINE III. This template is excelent, but I fighting now with setting up this NEWS MAILER again. Point is that when I enable scheduled news scans, which is adding to index.php of the template this row:

    <?php $fromtemplate = 1;@include(‘components/com_vemod_news_mailer/vemod_news_mailer.php’); ?>

    web stops respond, respectivelly I will get an empty page only. Here is descriptions how the mailer works in this case:

    Vemod News Mailer can use template refreshs as a trigger for sending mails, so every time somebody clicks something on your site or the page is hit by a spider the component will see if the selected interval has passed and look for new mails and try to send them. This priciple is also known as “poor mans cron”. With this option checked you will often trigger the sending when you access the frontend preview page and the preview page will show “0 new items” because the mails you wanted to preview were already sent!

    Can please someone try to help me ?

    Thanks JIRI

    Hi purina

    Please read this document http://blog.rogeriopvl.com/archives/php-files-closing-the-php-tag-or-not

    Hope you can understand why you don’t use php close tag in index.php file
