Hi
I spent two days at the most beautiful and best K2 filter and search to find on the internet. I came to the K2 filter and search from you. Nice I thought. I’ve searched for a decent bad description of your tool. Based on your description, I thought the ideal tool to have found. Eventually I therefore proceeded to purchase the membership ……
This was my worst purchase ever. After I had paid, and the K2 filter and search downloaded, began the misery only:
1) How can I make a combined dropdown?
2) Design simple change? After I had paid :((, there appears to exist a forum with lots of questions and especially apparently shortcomings in your tool.
That’s how I found out that many have adapted themselves to be by themselves the source code?! I have not paid for it myself yet to have to change??
As I said, I purchased this tool to, in particular, 2 or more dropdown boxes to combine. If the 1st dropdown is filled, then the second must be filled. I have also seen this with other developers and it would be technically possible.
This was the main reason for me to join your club. In the forum, I repeatedly encountered this desire, but apparently you do nothing with it.
If I knew this before and had read, I would have never made this purchase.>:(As said: *very disappointing* >:(

First of all, no need to lose heart, If you are not happy with the extension, you can ask for refund within 7 days of your purchase.

</blockquote>You want to change design / layout of the module? Well, it is possible but there are limitations, again if easy we will guide you but can not promise extensive customizations.

March 18, 2013 at 4:49 pm #486912Hi Arvind,
First of all, thanks for replying my post.
Secondly, I am not out to get a refund, but to find a solution to my problem. The only thing I tried to explain in above message was that i am disappointed in the tool you because it did not meet my expectations.
I will try to explain my problem of combined dropdown boxes.I have read almost all the posts and saw this problem once before posted become. Consider the following post, this is equivalent to what I mean and what I K2 filter and search have purchased.
Question Multi category Seach

Category schema:
Country
City (subcategory of Country)
Area (subcategory of City)I would like to have 3 list boxes as following:
Listbox 1: Select Country
ListBox2: Select City (Only show cities that belong to the above category)
ListBox3: Select Area (Only show areas that belong to the above category)Quote <==
Please see Appendix.
This is, for example, exact what i need. But i see no possibillity to realise this.
The design on the site which you show looks fine, but apparently only to create through the code itself to adapt and not through the module in the admin area. For this you must have knowledge of programming.
I hope it’s a bit obvious and that you can help me, because of course I would like that it finally works.

In thread “http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/multi-category-seach/” – it’s an old thread dated “12-29-2010” – . So, just confirm if you are using latest k2filter version.

</blockquote>Our extension do not have the workflow you are asking for and even our demo shows the categories as tree
I would be discussing this with the dev team but as per my estimate it would require lot of code changes and change in workflow.. so it might take lot of time, at the same time, its difficult to commit at this moment.
