I LOVE the new templates based on the updated T3 framework, but I’m having major trouble in terms of layout and putting things where I need them. All I want to do is have a login module on the frontpage right smack in the middle of what is currently the hero unit. The support information for these templates seem to be all over the place and this seems like it should be simple but I can’t figure out how to do it.
Again, somebody please help me either place a login module in the middle of the hero unit on the frontpage of JA OnePage OR place a horizontal login module in the homepage menubar like facebook does.
NOTE: I do NOT want a separate login page, and until the content popups are fixed on mobile devices, I don’t want a login popup/modal either.
Thanks.

March 10, 2013 at 11:38 pm #485917try doing a load module in the area you want your login module to be. Try using youjoomla login module or BT Login module. Both of them are popup module and horizontal.
Create the text you want to use, remove the button they have there and then do a loadmodule effect right bottom your text or image, which will load your login module. If your module is a popup module then your login module will slide down from the top of the page and once the person enters their username and password be redirected to the page you select in the module.
Any horizontal popup login module can be used all you have to do is add the loadmodule comment where you want the login module to go! You can also use moduleanywhere to load a module! Or a plugin on Joomla.org which is free!
And don’t forget joomla has a plugin that loads a modules in a article or module itself so all you have to do once you get your horizontal popup login module is add the loadmodule statement where you want the module to go…
I hope this helps.

March 10, 2013 at 11:50 pm #485919One more thing…Instead of trying place a login module in section one, you can simply add your log-in module right between section one and two for a better type of effect! just don’t show the module name and you can create a very unique effect!
get the login module
place it on onepage position and between hero unit and section two
make sure the module name is not selected to show
outline your text statement for the loadmodule in the editor then center it.
save it, then check it in the front!
you should see your popup login module. When you click on the text link or button the login module should slide down!this how mines work!
March 11, 2013 at 1:43 am #485920Do you have a link to an example of this on your site? I was trying to do something similar but honestly, I’m not really following you. I’d love to see it in action and then get some further help if it’s what I’m looking for.
I really don’t know what loadmodule or anything like that means. I’m pretty good at following along with the joomla backend but all of these extra things that for some reason aren’t bui;t-in to the template framework or documented are beyond my knowledge.
