August 30, 2013 at 1:32 am #190160Hello everybody
First of all, I love the style of Smashboard template, really love it at the first sight. However, I find the USER GUIDE useless since it is not using Joomla 3 to edit the template. I think most users who bought this template are using joomla version 3. Most of us are trying to establish a new website and that’s why we have installed joomla 3 and we need a template, isn’t it? But now, I can’t even make a menu by following the USER GUIDE, the captured screen is totally different from my joomla 3 administrator interface, I try many different ways and feel frustrated. I just want to make my website looks like the demo site!!! I know JA staffs are so hard working and busy and so I just want to modify the template by myself, so if possible, please make another USER GUIDE by using Joomla 3 and this will definitely helps the others in the future. Thank you!

New userguides will be available soon, in the meanwhile try to look HERE and let us know if this is helpful for you or maybe we can help to solve your problems from this forum.

August 30, 2013 at 9:59 am #504092Thank you for your prompt reply, appreciated very much!
I have read the User Guide many times. In order to be sure that my work is not affected by other template or any other modules else, I have formatted my whole site and reinstalled Joomla 3 again.
I still can’t make a proper ‘Error Menu’, e.g. I can not find the ‘Featured Articles’ from the administration panel of the ‘New Menu Item’.
Nevertheless, the User Guide is shown as following:
How to create the menu item in Joomla 3 which look like the demo site?
Thank you very much!

August 30, 2013 at 10:12 am #504093Hi
You can use the megamenu feature included in template configuration backend to build also your menu
But i think could be more helpful for you to install the quickstart version of the template, that is an exact replica of the demo site, or use also the Demo Builder to verify how all the settings are, not only for menus but for all other modules and components
So this will be the best way to follow.
1) Userguide
2) Demo Builder or quickstart version

December 21, 2013 at 3:20 am #516134I cannot find anything about the article pages. Can we modify them? Are they somehow part of K2. I want to add modules to the articles. I’d like to add a gallery to the articles.
I used to be able to separate the positions by template. It’s hard to see what positions are available even with tp=1.
I thought this would all be easy and it has turned into a search for documentation.
Any help out there. This could be a great template (using Joomla 3) but it is really hard to modify.
Can I use other templates at the same time?

December 23, 2013 at 8:22 am #516238Hi richnyc30,
JA Smashboard is a special template of us which supports the infinity scroll view (Category layout) in horizontal and popup view (Article) so that our template developers just defined the necessary positions (login, search, footer, navigation…). If you want to see template positions, you just need to enable Preview Module Positions in Template Manager >> Options.
In order to load module inside the article, i would like to suggest you to refer the Joomla documentation to get your requirement.
