Guys,

I’m not sure what’s going on- can someone with a good eye take a look at http://www.visualedge.biz/dfwcgi2 for me and make some suggestions?

I have no idea why everything is so slow…I can’t turn this over to the client so slow.

I installed the out-of-the-box template here:

It is quite speedy…

I have K2 loaded and also a module to load K2 items much like the slider mod…not sure that is the slow down however…

It is running well for me. I’ve also run Yslow for Firefox anf that is giving a grade D which isn’t too bad.

Hi Phil,

Not sure what a grade D is… but thanks. Each page takes like 6 seconds for me and client in the states. Comparing that to http://www.visualedge.biz/rasite – I’m not exactly sure what’s going on…much faster for the installed pkg.

Oh my gosh.

So frustrated with myself. I have disabled many components and modules to find what the speed issue is and now after enabling many of them again, some don’t work at all…no content. My front page slider- it’s a K2 slider…nothing. Also I’m using a simple tabs module for K2 items that is completely blank as well.

Open for any suggestions…

The slideshow is working well, i found a issue with the ja tabs, you open the file: pluginscontentja_tabs.php and find the following code:

replace:

Thanks for that update. The article does not really apply- it is server based and the two sites above are each on the same server. One is very slow, one fast. I’m not sure still about the mega menu being sluggish- it doesn’t respond when I say no animation and set the time to 0…any thoughts?

One is quickstart demo (site 1), other is your site using the k2 component (site 2) << this site works slower than, may be the problem is from k2 extensions you installed, now you disabled plugin, or module and compare with the site 1,
