    Hi,

Has anyone experienced unexpected changes to file permissions?

For example my template.css.css file was changed from 755 to 644 – I didn’t touch it. It just changed. The same happened to my com_sef sub-directory – and all its contents – giving me a sh404sef error message at the bottom of each page. Looking at most file permissions I see 644 everywhere – I’m sure there should be a few variations among the files.

The only change I made to the site was to install sh404sef.

Any thoughts to help track the problem would be appreciated

I know there are webhost who do this standard on their hosts.

Check if the webhost doesnt has a script running for file permissions.
