Hi all,
Great template. We’re implementing it now and have a question – can we embed video (specifically, YouTube) on the homepage, and if so, how?
We’ve tried YouTube’s embed code but it didn’t work out as it was “cleaned up” in publishing.
Should we just use AVR?
Cheers,

October 1, 2012 at 9:11 am #468710Hi Perini
Go to Back end > Plugin Manager > Editor – Tiny MCE > remove iframe, embeded, … from Prohibited Elements and insert in to Extended Valid Elements parameters.Regards,
October 2, 2012 at 10:34 am #468863Thanks HeR0,
No joy I’m afraid. We’ve switched to “No editor” and tags are still being stripped. Iframe is being stripped entirely, and <script> is being stripped to <param>.
Anyone… any ideas? Thanks in advance.

October 3, 2012 at 1:59 am #468907No editor is being stripped by html tags. You should use editor and set up some valid special tags as my reply above.

October 4, 2012 at 12:28 pm #469141Well, I’m not sure what’s happening here… :-*
I’ve switched to JCE, and then created a new profile and added myself as a user.
When editing this profile, I have given it all of JCE’s buttons, but then when I edit an article, some of them become unavailable.
Additionally, the Iframe button in JCE config is missing – I can’t add it as a button.
And, the Iframe problem is still there… the whole <iframe> … </iframe> is being stripped.
Help! :-[

October 4, 2012 at 2:26 pm #469148Have you the free JCE or the free JCE plus subscriber extensions, the subscriber extensions add functionality with images, media etc.
Read up on JCE use and operations. Also any video you use will not be responsive until you use the fitvids extension from the JED and configure the container name etc. I wish JA would take that extension and improve it to suit JAT3 templates etc.Try this. In the JCE config ensure that strip code is not enabled (Look Here) and why are you putting it in an Iframe? Just create a custom HTML module and add the embed code and publish?
Cheers Shannon
October 4, 2012 at 2:37 pm #469150Hi Shannon,
Thanks – I did all of that and still no joy.
I’m also having no luck with <script>.
Sorry. I’m really stumped as to what this is; we run several J! sites and this is a new one on me…
Cheers,
