April 25, 2014 at 5:00 pm #197081HI there, this is an issue on my site right after install and an issue on joomlart demo template of JA Appolio also. Basically if you go to the demo of JA Appolio here: http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#ja_appolio and then in the top right hand corner click the X button to delete the joomlart demo toolbar for selecting other demos and you will see the video module gets missed up and is forced to the top of the screen.
This is exactly what happens when you install the quickstart guide. I have the correct code in the module I believe from the documentation here: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-appolio#create-onepage however as you can see in the screenshot attached my site suffers from this effect also just like the joomlart demo area.
How did others fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

April 26, 2014 at 7:32 am #532501Thank you for the reply. Firstly may I ask did you remove the joomlart template selector toolbar on the joomlart demo page when viewing JA Appolio because in all browsers this happens. It is very easy to replicate this issue as follows
1. Please see attached screenshot of chrome, firefox and safari and all taken from the joomlart demo page with the joomlart toolbar removed by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner. Yes it works perfectly with the demo toolbar in place without it does not work at all as you can see
2. I am using a new mac and I have tested all 3 major browsers (safari, firefox,chrome) except IE and issue exists in all 3 browsers on a mac at least.
3. here is the link to my site which you can see does not work in a mac on these browsers I have not tested on a windows PC: http://www.jamjosandbox.com/venture
4. see attached your own demo area screenshots from joomlart with the issue also.

April 29, 2014 at 11:24 am #532875Any update on this? your very own demo is not working either as I say so it’s definitely not isolated to my browser or computer it seems.

April 29, 2014 at 6:18 pm #532918I have decided to just go with a static background image as the video simply does not work in multiple browsers when testing and is a little too buggy. The image works for now, would be nice to have it slide in the background in some kind of slideshow – is this possible with the slogin module still overlapping it?

April 30, 2014 at 2:54 am #532943Actually we tried in Mac and the demo site is working fine. can you clear your browser cache and check your site again.
since we couldn’t replicate the error, we are finding a hard time to resolve this.
1. can you try adding a bigger image than this /images/stories/joomla/poster.png . I hope this will solve the problem.
2. If you need only a background image instead of the video. go to the Module Manager -> Filter out position “Video” -> Click on Video – Welcome -> Click on Toggle Editor Button below the editor -> backup the content in the text area
Replace the content with this
<div class="video-shuffle-wrap">
<div class="video-shuffle" data-js-view="video-shuffle">
<div class="mask"> </div>
<img title="No video playback capabilities, please download the video below" src="images/stories/joomla/poster.png" alt="Sample Video" width="100%" /></div>

April 30, 2014 at 7:25 am #532969I have asked 2 other people with macs with chrome and firefox to try your demo “with the template selector toolbar switched off” and the video appears very small above the video module area just like the screenshot I originally supplied so I am pretty certain there are bugs with this video element, you should run more tests as its pretty simple to replicate so I have to disagree with you on that one. I have asked 2 other people to replicate this outside my office here and they could replicate very easily by simple X deleting your toolbar for selecting other demo templates in your demo area and the issue shows itself clear as day. :-[
Anyways thank you for the image element as this is much more reliable. 🙂
