hi. i’m quite confused with how video list ordering works.

i have videos which dates are in different create/publish dates.

in front page it appears right. but when i click on more videos, the ordering goes off. why is it like that? does these 2 have separate ordering settings?

Hi phoenix28,

When you click on more videos, it will direct to a video page which is controlled by a menu item call Videos, you can change the settings via this menu in Back-end > Menus > Bonus Pages menu: http://cl.ly/image/1w1Z2g3d1e30

hello! okay i’ve tried changing the settings but still the same. the ordering is still off :((

i want to arrange with the newest videos on top. on homepage it appears okay but when click and go to More videos, the ordering goes off.

Hi @phoenix28,

In the meantime, you can try with this tweak:

• Backup your site first (just in case)
• Download attached file (there are 2 files) and copy file to associated path:

/root/templates/ja_magz_ii/helper.php
/root/templates/ja_magz_ii/html/com_content/category/videos.php

Remember to backup old files first

Then you can go to back-end settings of ‘Video’ menu item in Back-end > Menus > Bonus Pages menu and set Aricle Ordering to "Most recent first" and order by Publish Date.

Then let me know how it goes.
