When i click on a video in a mobile browser say, chrome… the video does not auto play.. instead the spinner behind it keeps turning and turning… i need to click play again… before it plays. This was tested on both Note 3 and iphone 5….

Unfortunately, video is not supported for autoplay in mobile: https://vimeo.com/help/faq/mobile-apps/mobile-videos#why-cant-i-loop-or-autoplay-my-videos-on-mobile-devices , also with Youtube.

then how can it be more graceful? Because the loader icon is spinning there, it confuses the user that the video is preparing to be played.

This totally depends on the video provider, due to the performance and data usage, they don’t support autoplay option in mobile view.
