Chavan kindly showed me how to set up the sec nav 2 position to show a youtube video a few months ago. When I went to update it to show another youtube video today the previous script was not displayed in the editor window. I found Chavan’s script and entered it.

All I now see is the script.

    {youtube}Tz1u0h5Aqds{/youtube} iframe width=”477″ height=”268″ src=”//www.youtube.com/embed/Tz1u0h5Aqds” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen

    gpm.tecsa.com

Why was the editor window blank despite previous video running fine?
Why do I see script instead of video now?

http://news-sgi.tecsa.com/ shows a similar site where the video still runs but the Custom HTML editor window is empty.

    1. video
    2. empty

    Hi Tim,

To see your conventional YouTube embedding script in your article’s HTML source code, you have to go to “System” -> “Global Configuration” -> “Default Editor *” and select option “Editor – None” and then reopen your article.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Alex

Thanks Alex. Actually it works with JCE too if:

One inserts the correct html in the html rather than the text window 🙁 I got too used to scripts with { } brackets 🙂

    i.e. <iframe width=”477″ height=”268″ src=”//www.youtube.com/embed/Tz1u0h5Aqds” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Thanks again.
