Issue1: before after menu set vm category layout, at front end clinking categories goes to 404 not found
now i noticed when you click image of the product it does also go 404

issue 2: i am trying to update joomla but it goes to a blank page everytime.

yes all categories published, you can login and see them yourself.

Hi,

It seems due to the Search Engine Friendly URLs on your site, it causes 404 error page. You can try to disable this option under Global Configuration in backend of your site and see it will work.

Then kindly check your rules for SEF URLs on your site again.

i dont think SEF causing that problem, i had turned off still same problem. Seems child categories(second level) view dont work for example:

I just disabled SEF on your site, you can access led-shoes category again: http://www.doztrading.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=11&Itemid=184

Kindly check the rules you set for htaccess as it caused this issue with VM, you can ask your host for help on this.
