May 29, 2009 at 4:01 pm #306131There will be but JA just make the templates and dont offer support for VirtueMart as that is a seperate component. It is included in the template simply to make installation easier.
Like I say, VirtueMart forums are the best place to find answers to any VirtueMart specific questions.

May 29, 2009 at 5:32 pm #306138Would be good luck to get a response to your question in a matter of 7 days since posted. Anyone who recommends the VM Forum to people with timelines or who want a quick solution for a not common answer should first visit the forum for some time and see that sadly most such questions stay unanswered for years even.
To the problem, I DO NOT KNOW IF YOU MEAN THIS BUT MAYBE THIS WILL HELP YOU OUT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can use attributes in the admin for any product. Like you have “Pizza Margherita” and want to give users the option to add toppings on it.
So you create a product called pizza Margherita and simply add attributes to it that each cost like 2$ extra. On the frontend people get the product page and can select via drop down if they want extra topping and what extra topping, the extra price will also be added to the selection of the customers.
Those are all the basic features VM offers. You should first read the VirtueMart Manual that will explain you in detail how to create products and how to add those attributes.
Another point for example, you can also add another product called “Ceasars Salad” and others called “Coca Cola Bottle”. Now as you know people often want a salad to the pizza and also a bottle of coke, you link those products together via the “Related Products Options” also in the backend. So you can call this “Based on your selection, you may also be interested in the following…”
And all this, how you can do this, the manual will tell you, nothing new or tricky!
This manual you can find somewhere on the VirtueMart Homepage at http://www.virtuemart.net when the server is not down again… Where on this homepage you can find the manual, just look out for it, do not know anymore!
IF THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT, ALSO LOOK OVER THE EXTENSIONS DIRECTORY ON THE SITE AND ALSO ON THE JED FOR A MODULE OR WHATEVER THAT CAN SERVE YOU THIS!!!
Much success!

</blockquote>I use the VM forums frequently and while I agree that questions often go unanswered for a long time, the search function will almost always yield results. As there are so many sites using VM, the chances are that the any problem you have will have been asked many times before.
Also, this is not a VM support forum so I merely pointed out that there would be a better chance on the appropriate forums.
Cheers,
J.
