    Joomla 2.5.6
    VM 2.0.18a

    Current dev URL: http://www.bj-sales.com/joom25/jupgrade

My VM category/manufacturer pages are displaying incorrectly. Everything is out of alignment.

Product page displays image overlapping description and Artist (Manufacturer)

Top pagination looks messed up. Artist (Manufacturer) dropdown does not display

Can someone please help me sort this out?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi whouse,

It seems that the problems are caused by the 3rd party extension you are using (VM 2.0). So, you ‘d rather request support form VirtueMart. In addition, I have found a article related to your issue.

Is there not anyone that can offer some help or advice? I’m kind of on a deadline so any advice or help is welcome and appreciated.

    Hi whouse,

Currently, JA Vintas supports VM version 2.0.10. But you can still use VM 2.0.18a without using JA Vintas VM theme,

Here is a guide to avoid using all VM customizations on Vintas at:

    – /templates/ja_vintas/css/virtuemart.css
    – templates/ja_vintas/html/mod_virtuemart_product
    – mod_virtuemart_currencies, mod_virtuemart_cart

    – Go to Admin -> VM component ->Configuration->templates-> NOT USE JA VINTAS and set back to default

Thank you very much for the replies. I don’t understand why they didn’t show up until today. Anyway, I’ll attempt to make the changes you suggest and I’ll let you know if that works or not. Also, thank you for the link. I’ll definitely take a look at it.
    @tomc
I’m not sure why Leo’s post didn’t show up for me. Apparently you could see it but I was unable to, nor did I ever get an email notification for either of the posts Leo made.
Thanks for taking the time to review my post.

    Not a problem, Wayne. 😎

Were you able to resolve your issue utilizing Leo’s suggestions ??

    Thanks!

OK. I got part of it fixed. Or, at least it works for me. Here’s what I did:

    For the Category view:

    templates/ja_vintas/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php
    Line 231 change <div class=”floatleft center”> to <div class=”product-info floatleft center”>

    For Product Details view:

    templates/ja_vintas/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php
    Line 129 change <div class=”width50 floatright”> to <div class=”width47 floatright”>

Now I’m just having a problem with the dropdown sorting. The Sort By dropdown works fine but the Manufacturer selection dropdown doesn’t work at all. It only displays one manufacturer all the time and no dropdown ever presents itself. Strange.

    Hi whouse,

If you’re using T3 or T3v3 framework. Go to Extensions >> Template Manager >> Current template style.
Then click Compile Less to Css, Save.
If not, send me an access permission with your site because i can’t see your URL. I’ll try to help!

Thanks for the help. The url is not private and should be accessible. Here it is again:
    http://www.bj-sales.com/joom25/jupgrade/administrator/index.php
If it gives you trouble redirecting to the root of the domain, try to reload it again please.

I’ll PM you the login details.

I’m having quite a bit of trouble with minor things like the login, cart and other things not showing up as well as what looks like missing module positions. I may uninstall all templates except the joomla default and then reinstall. Let me know what you think.

Well, I got it working finally so I’m going to close this issue.
There were quite a few module positions missing that I had to manually add by editing the templateDetails.xml.
Here are the ones I remember:
    login
    mega1
    mega2
    hotline
    vm-cart
    social
    top_menu
    vm-product

I find it strange that I had to add these because they weren’t in the xml file What’s up with that, Joomlart?

After adding these, I was able to get the things like cart and the vm latest products to display as the demo. I also had to uninstall and reinstall the jalogin module. It wouldn’t publish no matter what. Once I removed it and reinstalled it again it is working.

Other than that, there was some template customization to get the VM store to show how I wanted it but it looks good now.
Thanks to everyone that responded to this item. Now marking as closed.

    Hi whouse,

Really sorry for my late reply. It’s nice that you solved your issue. Thanks for your feedback.
About module position of JA Vintas you mentioned, our template also contains top-menu, social, login , hotline. Because this is a flexible template, so you can easy to add/remove new module positions. To ensure the best quality features, checking template updates is really necessary.

    Regards,

    Leo
