Iv’e got my module working but it shows ALL the product on my website, even if I am set on recent product.

I was wondering where can I go to set the parameter about the recent product ?

I would like to set that it shows the last 20 new products of something else less than all the product.

other thing about this module: is it possible to center the images on the hight instead to get everything aligned on top ?
