I have a problem in that the VM Product Slide is extremely slow to load in IE7 and safari. I have this on my home page, so that any new visitors to the site wait ages for the page to load.

It doesnt seem to be so bad in FF and Chrome i think.

Is there any way to make this load faster? Is the code written in the most optimised way?

a way of optimize the load is reducing the image size that you upload, check your host speed and bandwith, perhaps you have a slow one

gayle supossing that the code has no bugs, the best way to optimize is to check is the final size of images is optimal then check if the format is correct(jpg,gif,png) and optimized for web, this must solve the problem if is in your side.
