    Hello,

Even though the Edenite template is beautiful and powerful, it fails to validate with W3C specifications. I did a clean installation of Joomla v1.7.1 and Edenite v1.1.1. Along with the template, I installed required T3 System plugin v1.3.0 Stable. It fails to validate with W3C (both XHTML & CSS)

I’m trying to develop my site in a clean and professional manner and fails to achieve this! Any further help to would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Perhaps you could try a fresh install utilizing the quickstart installation + sample data … and then run the test again.

I downloaded a fresh copy of Edenite and uploaded quick-start file. It now validates XHTML 1.0, but still shows huge number of errors and warning messages. Here is the screenshot.

So, with those identified errors, is the template not displaying as it should?

Did you install the sample data as part of the quickstart?

Can you provide the url of the site you’re working on?

I installed Quick Start file along with sample data. I sent you the link to the site via PM. Please check.

I did not receive the PM – can you try again?

Okay, I looked at the site and – aside from the image placeholders – things seem to look pretty normal.

Are you noticing any display issues in particular?

I didn’t fully tested the template with my site content at. It’s look like it’s behaving normally. However I’m concerning with “100% perfect in validation” and also it may effect Search Engine Optimization!

With the complexity of today’s code structures, I wonder if most sites would register 100% perfect validation.

Of course, but I can’t go with “100” Errors, “1000+” Warnings!

Wow … You’re saying that the base JA Edenite template – fresh from the quickstart install with no modifications – has 100 errors and over 1000 “warnings?”

    Yes!

I downloaded the Edenite template from site again and extracted it. After that I uploaded the quick-start zip file and installed it. Imminently I validated the site with W3C tools and it gave me the same result! I even reinstalled the board with a fresh copy of Joomla v1.7.1 (note that quick start file contains Joomla v1.7) along with latest version of Edenite (including stable version of T3 System Plugin v1.3.0).

    The same result!
