Hi legalgrind!
I am in your site and you need to update to Joomla 1.7.3 for security reasons. An updated site is a site that works well.
I was going to update your site but you receive an error message as follows:

You have a very limited amount of memory available through your host. You need to increase this. I am unable to connect via FTP either!
You also have Unwritablefiles as follows:
configuration.php ~ Unwritable
Go to Article Manager, you would see a tab named Featured Articles.
Please advise when this is all done!
Then we will worry about the rest please!

The memory has been increased.
I tried to upgrade joomla to 1.7.3 but message came back saying it was already upgraded – if you did this, thank you very much.
I do not know how to change permissions on the configuration.php file. Can you either do it or tell me how to do it please?
The host to ftp is still http://ftp.powweb.com and use the same id and password as given when thread was started. (The domain nameservers are still pointing to our old website while we build this one – sorry.)
I did find the featured articles tab.
What next?

I am in your site and you need some additional updates as well as have some extensions that are no longer supported. may i also upgrade these for you?

If you want to use JA Extension Manager and need info, you can search the forum and find directions easily!
Again, catch up on some reading when you can, and then get back to me and we will move forward on the code you want to place and we can discuss how to best place it.
